Raven Rock State Park NC
Raven Rock State Park's newest campground, Moccasin Branch campground has a great visitor center/museum. The hiking trails are marked and are easy to follow although I always recommend carrying a a trail map with you. The hike down to Raven Rock is well worth the effort. There are a number of wooden steps near the bottom of the trail.
There are a number of other trails that looked interesting but we didn't have time. The camp host "Gene" was a treasure himself. He was in his eighties, a retired Vet and moves from campground to campground for months at a time. He was quick of wit, liked pulling peoples legs and was good at it. Hope to see him at another camp ground some day. The staff was great as well. Definitely on my list for a return trip.
