Camping neighbors
I have done a lot of camping over the years and have seen some interesting campers. Since I have recently built my tear drop camper I finally get to be one of those people who's camper gets a lot of attention and invites conversations. Now that my web site is being rebuilt I have decided to add photos of some of the unique campers I have seen.
My favorite is the hand painted Van with a popup sleeping loft shown in the first three pic's. We met the couple who owned this while staying in the campground at Tallulah Falls/Gorge Georgia. All of the images were hand painted. Then there is the Covered wagon. We met this couple in Spirit of the Suwanee Campground and Music Park In North Florida. Next there are two small towable campers. The small white camper is lightweight fiberglass design. What I real took this photo for was the fishing decoration. Perhaps the lightest of them all is the small trailer with the tarp enclosure on top of a small platform . The top collapses onto the trailer base and the folds in half. The owner of this actually tows it with a motorcycle. Then there is my own home built tear drop camper built using plans from Chesapeake Light Craft. I have seen tents that set up on top of vehicles but this was the first time I have seen a tent that sets up on the ground and also has a sleeping loft attached and mounted on a vehicle.
