Bear Creek S.P. Virginia

Bear Creek State Park in Virginia is based around a man made lake with the work being done by the Civilian Conservation Corp. I have camped at 3 other CCC parks and wish to add more of them to my list of campgrounds or parks worth visiting. These parks frequently have interpretive centers and/or stores. 

Bear Creek has lake swimming, canoe and paddle boat rentals and a great day time picnic area. The campgrounds have standard family camping sites with a tent pad, Two lantern hangers and a fire pit at each site. There is firewood and Ice available (self serve honor system when the office is closed. There is a decent trail running from the campground to the lake. And a few other trails I would have liked to hike but was worn out from hiking the Tallulah Falls/Gorge trails.
